Finally! A new website.

The trouble with being able to shove a website together yourself is getting round to actually doing it.  It’s a task that just settles down to the bottom of the list for months on end, but then when you’ve actually done it, well, delight isn’t too strong a word! It’s embarassingly like the feeling of needing to clean the house and the euphoria of floating around your newly spruced up gaff that follows.

My previous website had been a much older website, ‘made-over’ to bridge the gap between what I used to do and what I do now and in truth I wasn’t entirely sure what this was for a long time. So looking honestly and fairly brutally at what I’m doing now and whether I’m doing everything I can, should and want to, is something I really needed to do. I’d been having those familiar feelings of, stalling a bit over projects, not feeling fully focused and noticing a sense of something uneasy in my peripheral vision. I needed to make good on promises I’d made to myself…in short, I needed to start selling my prints, online, from my own website, not waiting for convenient opportunities to be put in front of me by, well, not sure by whom, but I needed to start being in charge again, of myself.

Analysing things I suspect that my old friend procrastination has been lurking, along with self-doubt and a double helping of perfectionism to side step, but we’re here now – yay – new website, actual sales are now a possibility and that’s, well, brilliant. x
